Generally I am not a very motivated person, but as I continued with losing weight I soon became quite obsessed by weight, and even activity levels to some degree. Over time it got to the point where I was weighing myself every day, sometimes more than once, despite my weigh-in time being the same time on the same day of the week... Every week.
My motivations for changing my lifestyle were quite clear now. I surely had to do something about the current state so I focused on these 2 quite apparent areas
2 Life Changing Habits that worked for me
- Eat less
- Move more
Eating habits are not just eating less of course. Taking care of what you eat is also very important. I will divulge some of my not-so-secret secrets over the coming posts but making sure that you have a good balance of food types, cut out fatty food and bad fats and drinking lots of water help.
With regards to moving more, I don't go to the gym. I have no desire to for various reasons. That doesn't mean that you cannot keep fit in other ways. I walk a lot. I even got a dog to make me leave the house. This is a simple yet very effective form of exercise. There are a million and one workouts available starting from as little time as 5 minutes a day (maybe even less).
Yet I haven't been inspired to do any sort of work out yet. Home gym exercises can be effective too - but too much effort for me.
Do the amount of activity that you are comfortable with. Once you have gotten it into your routine it won't become such a chore and may even become fun.
