2016 has been a crap year for me musically. There have been hardly any bands that I like in Finland recently and the summer circuit is a real mixed bag. 2016 has been horrendous for celebrity deaths – and the now the music world mourns the death and celebrates the life of Prince.
I heard this song quite a while back, but the Local Band just uploaded it to YouTube this week. I really liked the original version, by the Veronicas.
They add their own inimitable style to the song though, and the video is fun. Check it out below.
So you have probably heard about this already, but I thought I would chime in with a couple of cents worth of comments.
I’ve been using the service for many years, on and off, and there were many great features and it’s quite a loss to the music community IMHO…
The day after the funeral of Lemmy from Motörhead was streamed live to millions of people around the world, I thought I would share this advert by Finnish dairy company Valio.
Finnish bands Santa Cruz and Reckless Love were featured in a recent article on VH1 about the current state of glam metal.
I found the article quite interesting and a bit of an eye opener.
Endless Form Most Beautiful has been out for almost a month, and I’ve listened to it very frequently. At this point in time it is my favorite Nightwish album and elevates them to my favorite current band.
With the anticipation of a new album from Van Halen (albeit a live one) I was keen to get a reminder of the VH greatness live as they performed on Jimmy Kimmel.
What came to pass was a reminder of all the things that I don’t like about Van Halen and why won’t be forking out nearly 100€ plus travel to see them if/when they hit the shores of Europe soon.
A lot has been said about the leak of Elan, the new Nightwish single. Not least by the band themselves.
Much of their comments and feedback was frowned upon my many of their fans on Facebook (especially) and Twitter. But their underlying argument stands true. Here are the 3 reasons why I think they were justified.
