At Last Scrobbling Comes to Windows Phone

Finally the people at Spotify have to add probably one of the easiest, yet annoying, features to their Windows Phone version of their music client: Last FM integration.

Whilst this doesn’t bring the app up to the levels of the other platforms it at least gives me one of the major missing features that has had me swaying between paid subscription and free (or no usage).

I tried iOS… and regretted it too. Here’s 5 reasons why

A buddy, and former work colleague, of mine posted a link recently on Facebook about this guy that bought an iPhone after years on Android … and regretted it immediately.

It made me think about my experience with iOS and I thought I would share this with you. Here are 5 reasons I am selling my iPhone and will use the  Lumia 1020 as my primary device again…..

Nokia Windows Phones Due Ahead Of iPhone 5

It doesn’t help that neither the Lumia 900 nor 710 can be updated to Windows Phone 8. Instead, both devices will settle for Windows Phone 7.8, which brings the home screen and user interface tweaks of WP8, but not the major change in underlying architecture

What a pile of shit. I mean really! Nerds care about underlying architecture, normal people won’t give a flying f**k.

For the most part 7.8 will be a more than satisfying experience. Anyone tried the latest iOS on the first iPad? While it was able to handle the OS upgrades when iPad II and the imaginative named iPad came out its getting really clunky now and that’s still only a few years old. Even iPad II struggles.

Three weeks after my N900 arrived, which was worth the wait, I have been getting to know the device better. One of my many uses for the phone is as a music player. In this post I will cover the applications, built in or otherwise that I have tried so far; the trials & tribulations; the good and the bad. As I previously mentioned, whilst waiting for the N900 I had been checking out the apps available and assessing the best options for many of the uses of the phone. Music and media was one such area. N900 – Worth The Wait

After ordering a N900 two and a half months ago, the wait finally ended on Wednesday when I got to unbox my N900. I decided that I had to share my thoughts about the whole experience and would be very interested in your feedback to see if you felt the same way too. My first experiences of Nokia touch phones came at the turn of the year with the 5800 XpressMusic. Continue reading N900 – Worth The Wait

N95 – Top 10 Apps

I have been a proud N95 8GB user for over a year. In the past couple of weeks I have found some excellent new (to me at least) applications that have made the phone even more enjoyable. To start this new sub section of the site off, I have decided to list my favorites. All are at least available as Beta (?) and are mostly free to use! Continue reading N95 – Top 10 Apps
