For all my adult life I have been a fan of Mötley Crüe. They epitomised the sleazy glam rock genre perfectly and their band members seemed to live their life that way too.
This all changed during 1987 when Sixx (Nikki Sixx is the bassist) almost died from a heroin overdose. He subsequently cleaned up his act and wrote a book based on his journal entries called “The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star”.
This later became an album that was released in 2007 and Sixx A.M. was truly born (they were formed in 2006).
So after months of anticipation the night finally arrived and Lenny Kravitz flew away from the US to the shores of an autumnal Finland. To be honest I was not a big a fan. I find his musical quite suicide inducing at times.
I noticed that it had been 3 months since my last XBMC update. The main reason for this is because I have been happily using XBMC on ATV2 for the past months with absolutely no issues. I was very please with its performance on the whole, some things were slow(ish) but it worked for my needs.
I had a nightly build from June sometime and I just thought “if it ain’t broke …” well you know the rest. As a regular visitor of the XBMC forums I know that there had been continued development work, especially it seemed for the ATV2, so I thought I would take the plunge and get an update.
I have been talking about XBMC and the ATV2 quite a bit recently – even blogging about it on occasion. I thought it was about time that I wrote about the N900 again.
Now, I know it is an old phone – I have had it just over a year now but I still keep finding new things like software/apps or tips and tricks and recently I feel that the phone was rejuvenated by modifications to the look and feel of the device. It’s the little things.
I posted this on Facebook already but had difficulties sharing. When I found Mia sitting in the dark in the kitchen, as I was making dinner, I thought it was funny to see everyone in different rooms not interacting with each other but with technology on their own-some. So I thought I would capture the moment as best I could.
Sophie was around too, helping Kitty at one point to play Angry Birds. Frankie too was undoubtedly playing games. His laptop is my old laptop which has been rejuvenated by installing Jolicloud as an operating system. Since he is the main user he reckons that is a lot faster than Windows XP was.
So, without further ado – the video..
What do think? To quote McLog: modern family or Royle family?????
