My work experiences demonstrate my ability to succeed in a number of challenging and varied roles. I am honest, trustworthy, reliable and versatile. I believe that I am very adaptable, able to learn new skills with minimum supervision or fuss. I have prior experience managing and leading people in various environments. I want to further my career in an area that utilizes my experience, skill and knowledge.
I managed to kick-off my career in IT in 2000 after moving to Finland from the UK to be with my now-wife. Having sought and gained employment at Nokia I progressed to Senior Specialist within the business group responsible of computing, applications and infrastructure. I returned to work in April 2008 after an extended parental leave.
My current role is broken down into 2 parts. The majority of my time is working with Web Analytics helping with implementation and process documentation and support. I have been involved in web analytics since May 2008. I also help with Intranet UX responding to queries pertaining to the CSS and HTML of Nokia's intra and extra nets.
All previous roles have been similar but gained more responsibility with seniority. Tasks included:
I design/develop sites and provide expert advice/consultation to small businesses. I have a number of projects on-going at present utilizing custom made scripts and CMS. I have also written for the dotmobi TLD group relating to the development of a module for a leading CMS specifically targeted to mobile devices. The module is called the accessibility module and has been released on Drupal.
